President message

The affiliation at ICN of The Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania

For every member of our organization August 1st, 2014 is a highly important moment. Starting this date we became members of the biggest and most important professional organization for nursing worldwide The International Council of Nurses.

This is a historical moment for our organization, an international recognition of our potential and professional value of our members, a high visibility of the work of our top leaders in transforming our aspiration for excellence into action and results.

In the official announcement or our affiliation to ICN, Mr. David Benton, CEO, expressed the hope that “we will have a long and productive relationship in advancing nursing, nurses and healthcare, for the health of people in Romania and in the world”.

We undertake this mission with pride and honor and commit ourselves to have an active and efficient contribution in building a future of ongoing development of the nursing services.

By the new role, as a member of the world biggest professional family in the medical services, we have access to a complex set of nursing know how, to information on international nursing events, to high standards and policies related to our professions, and, equally, we understand the related responsibility in constantly and efficiently contributing to the nursing profession development.

I consider our affiliation to ICN as the most important result of The Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical  Assistants in Romania in 2014, an important success of our organization on the path of advancing to our vision – “to be an efficient and credible regulation body, acting in compliance with the excellence principle, continuously adapted to all change dynamics of our society”.
