The Order of Nurses Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania (OAMGMAMR) is a professional and regulatory organization, with the role of developing rules and standards of practice for nurses, midwives and medical assistants, so as the professionals provide quality services, in terms of safety and security.

The Order authorizes the profession, records in its data base all the nurses, midwives and medical assistants practicing in Romania, and also judges any deviations from the rules of ethics and conduct.

All the actions of the Order, since its establishment until present, were primarily focused on the professional needs of its members, aiming at the regulation and development of the profession of nurses.
